Baked Apple with Imported Vintage Cheddar

These sweet and tart baked apples with caramel drizzle, pair well with a bold, tangy Vintage Aged Cheddar. The salty and sweet combination is out of this world!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large apples cut in half, lengthwise and core removed
  • 2 tbsp cold butter diced into small chunks
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar packed
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp quick cook oats
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • Prepared caramel

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • In a small bowl combine butter, brown sugar, flour, oats and cinnamon with hands or a fork until mixture forms a crumble-like texture. Spoon evenly on top of the apple halves.
  • Place in a small casserole dish and bake in the oven for approximately 25-30 minutes.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle with caramel.

Notes

Top with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and serve with a bold, Imported Vintage Cheddar on the side.
