
Baked Apple with Imported Vintage Cheddar
These sweet and tart baked apples with caramel drizzle, pair well with a bold, tangy Vintage Aged Cheddar. The salty and sweet combination is out of this world!
Ingredients
- 2 large apples cut in half, lengthwise and core removed
- 2 tbsp cold butter diced into small chunks
- 2 tbsp dark brown sugar packed
- 2 tbsp all purpose flour
- 4 tbsp quick cook oats
- Cinnamon to taste
- Prepared caramel
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- In a small bowl combine butter, brown sugar, flour, oats and cinnamon with hands or a fork until mixture forms a crumble-like texture. Spoon evenly on top of the apple halves.
- Place in a small casserole dish and bake in the oven for approximately 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle with caramel.
Notes
Top with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and serve with a bold, Imported Vintage Cheddar on the side.
